Rotate a Binary String Right

Enter a binary string and a non-negative rotation count. The last bits move to the front locally in your browser.

Use only 0 and 1. The exact width and leading zeros are preserved.

The count is reduced modulo the string length.

Enter a binary string to begin.

This rotates bit characters as a string; it does not parse a signed integer.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter 1–10,000 characters containing only 0 and 1.
  2. Enter a non-negative integer rotation count.
  3. Rotate right and copy the result with its original width.

Exact width

The result always has exactly the input length, including leading zeroes.

Modulo rotation counts

The count is reduced modulo the string length, so a full-length rotation returns the original string.

Strict binary input

The input must be non-empty and contain only ASCII 0 and 1 characters, up to 10,000 characters.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are leading zeroes preserved?

Yes. The result keeps the exact number of input characters.

What if the count is larger than the string length?

It is reduced modulo the string length.

Is the input uploaded?

No. Validation and rotation run locally in your browser.
