Estimated volume (m³) = fresh silage mass (tonnes) × 1,000 ÷ fresh bulk density (kg/m³). The density is your input; none is recommended.
Limitations
This is arithmetic only and does not size a silo, allow for headspace, compaction variation, losses, or safe operating limits. Keep mass and density on the same fresh-weight basis.
