Explicit punctuation rule
Sentences end at ., !, ?, 。, !, or ?. Surrounding whitespace is trimmed and the terminator stays with its sentence.
Known limits
This lightweight splitter can divide abbreviations such as “Dr.” and decimal numbers such as “3.14”. It does not perform full linguistic or quotation-aware sentence parsing.
