A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter up to 100,000 characters in each text.
  2. Choose the output line ending style.
  3. Interleave, then copy or download the result.

Alternating lines

The first line from input A is followed by the first line from input B, then the second line from each input, and so on. Remaining lines from the longer input are appended in order.

Empty lines and line endings

Empty lines are real lines and remain in place. The output uses the selected LF, CRLF, or CR separator; a trailing newline is kept when either input has one. Processing stays in this browser.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

What happens when one input is shorter?

Its lines stop contributing and the remaining lines from the other input are appended.

Are empty lines removed?
