A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste text up to 100,000 characters.
  2. Choose a normalization form and whether to remove combining marks.
  3. Normalize and review the output, code point counts, and change summary.

Four Unicode forms

NFC composes canonically equivalent sequences, NFD decomposes them, and NFKC/NFKD also apply compatibility mappings. The browser Unicode implementation determines the available version.

Combining mark removal

Optional removal deletes Unicode combining marks after normalization. This can change meaning or spelling; inspect the output before using it.

Local limits and reporting

Input is limited to 100,000 Unicode code points. The report shows input/output code point counts and a bounded first-change summary. No upload, language detection, transliteration, or semantic correction is performed.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does normalization translate languages?

No. It applies Unicode normalization mappings only.

Does removing marks preserve spelling?

Not always. It can remove meaningful marks, so review the result.
