Add Parentheses to Lines
Add literal parentheses to each non-empty line locally in your browser.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter up to 100,000 characters.
- Wrap each non-empty line in parentheses; empty lines stay empty.
- Review, copy, or download the safe plain-text result.
Line-by-line wrapping
CRLF and CR line endings are normalized to LF. Every non-empty line, including whitespace-only lines, receives literal ( and ) characters. Empty lines remain empty and line order is preserved.
Local plain-text output
The transformation runs in this browser and writes to a plain-text output field. It does not interpret markup, evaluate code, or upload the input. Input is limited to 100,000 characters and 50,000 lines; output is limited to 500,000 characters.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Are whitespace-only lines wrapped?
Yes. A line is considered non-empty when it contains any character, including whitespace.
Are existing parentheses escaped?
No. Existing text is preserved and the new literal pair is placed around the line.
Are blank lines removed?
No. Empty lines remain empty in the same positions.
