A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste text with one value per line.
  2. Choose single or double quotes and line-by-line or whole-text mode.
  3. Add the quotes, review the plain-text result, and copy it.

Line-based or whole-text quoting

Line mode wraps each non-empty line independently and leaves empty lines unchanged. Whole-text mode wraps the complete input once, including any line breaks. LF, CRLF, and CR separators are retained in line mode.

Literal formatting

The tool adds the selected quote characters around text and does not execute, parse, or validate the result. Existing quote characters inside the text remain unchanged.

Local processing

Text is processed in your browser only. Input is limited to 100,000 characters and the result is plain text.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are blank lines quoted?

No. In line mode, empty lines remain empty. Whitespace-only lines are treated as text and are quoted.

Can I use single quotes?

Yes. Choose single or double quotes before running the formatter.

Does this execute code?

No. It only adds literal quote characters and never evaluates the input.
