A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste a dialogue draft of up to 50,000 characters.
- Review the highlighted rule findings and their locations.
- Edit the source yourself; the checker does not rewrite or certify the text.
Supported checks
The local script checks repeated ! or ?, repeated terminal punctuation, unmatched straight or curly double quotes, and non-empty lines that end in a letter or digit without . ! ? or an ellipsis. It reports line numbers where applicable. Double-quote checking counts straight and curly double quotes together and flags an odd total; it does not verify individual pairs.
Deliberate limits
These patterns are clues, not grammar judgments. It does not understand speakers, nesting, quotation style, abbreviations, dialogue tags, language rules, or literary intent. Review every finding manually; no text is uploaded.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does it prove my dialogue is correct?
No. It only reports the documented surface patterns. It cannot certify grammar, punctuation style, or meaning.
Which languages are checked?
The interface supports six locales, but the heuristics are character-pattern checks and are not language-specific grammar rules.
Does it rewrite my text?
No. The source remains unchanged and findings are suggestions for manual review.
