How to use this tool

  1. Paste up to 100,000 characters.
  2. Capitalize the first cased letter of each whitespace-delimited word.
  3. Review and copy the result.

First letter of each word

Words are runs separated by Unicode whitespace. In each run, the first character with distinct lowercase and uppercase mappings is uppercased. Hyphens and punctuation remain part of the run, so word-internal letters are not changed.

Existing case stays intact

The tool does not lowercase the rest of a word, apply title publishing rules, preserve acronyms specially, or change spacing and punctuation. Processing is local to this browser.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this use title case rules?

No. It changes only the first cased letter of each whitespace-delimited word and leaves the rest of each word unchanged.

Are punctuation and spacing preserved?

Yes. Whitespace, punctuation, symbols, emoji, and every other character remain in their original positions.
