Flip Text Upside Down

Enter text to create a copyable upside-down Unicode version. Mapped characters are replaced and the whole input is reversed; unsupported characters stay unchanged.

Characters are reversed by Unicode code point. Unsupported characters stay unchanged. Fixed map coverage: common Latin letters, digits, and punctuation only.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter text in the input box.
  2. Review the reversed output and the mapped-character coverage note.
  3. Copy the result for places that support Unicode text.

Fixed mapping and reversal

The tool uses a deterministic map for common Latin letters, digits, and punctuation, then reverses Unicode code points. Characters without a mapping, including most scripts and emoji, remain unchanged. This is a visual text effect, not a geometric rotation.

Coverage and limitations

Coverage is limited to the characters listed in the tool’s fixed map; it is not a complete Unicode upside-down alphabet. Combining marks and grapheme clusters are reversed by code point, so complex text may not display as expected. No text is uploaded.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this support every language?

No. Only the fixed map is transformed. Unsupported characters are preserved, so mixed-language output can contain unchanged characters.

Why is the result reversed?

Upside-down text normally reverses character order as well as replacing glyphs, so the tool reverses Unicode code points before applying the map.

Is the result a rotated font?

No. It uses Unicode lookalike characters. Appearance depends on the font and app rendering the result.
