Full Width Text Converter
Convert printable ASCII text to fullwidth Unicode characters locally in your browser.
ASCII space and ! through ~ are mapped; other Unicode characters stay unchanged.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste text containing ASCII or other Unicode characters.
- Convert the text to replace ASCII space and characters from ! through ~ with fullwidth forms.
- Copy the result; non-ASCII characters remain unchanged.
Explicit fullwidth mapping
The converter maps ASCII U+0021–U+007E by adding 65248, and maps ASCII space U+0020 to U+3000. This covers letters, digits, and punctuation.
Other Unicode stays unchanged
Characters outside ASCII, including existing fullwidth text, emoji, CJK characters, accents, and line breaks, are preserved. This is not broad NFKC normalization.
Local and copyable
Text is converted in your browser and is never uploaded. Use Copy result to put the converted text on the clipboard.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does this apply NFKC normalization?
No. It uses the explicit Unicode fullwidth mapping so non-ASCII characters are left unchanged.
What happens to spaces and punctuation?
ASCII space becomes U+3000 IDEOGRAPHIC SPACE, and ASCII punctuation from ! through ~ receives the corresponding fullwidth mapping.
Are existing fullwidth characters changed?
No. Existing fullwidth and all other non-ASCII characters remain unchanged.
