A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste up to 1 MiB of plain text.
- Remove the odd-numbered lines counted from 1.
- Review and copy the result.
Odd-numbered lines are deleted
The first line is line 1 and is removed, then line 2 is kept. Blank lines still occupy a line number and follow the same rule.
Line endings and trailing newlines
LF, CRLF, and CR are accepted. Output uses the first newline style found, and a final newline is retained exactly when the input has one; line text is not trimmed.
Local, bounded processing
Input is limited to 1 MiB. Text stays in your browser and is never uploaded.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Which lines are removed?
Lines 1, 3, 5, and every other odd-numbered line are removed. Lines 2, 4, 6, and so on remain.
Are blank lines counted?
Yes. A blank line occupies its normal 1-based line number.
Is a trailing newline preserved?
Yes. The output keeps a final newline when the input has one, and uses the first LF, CRLF, or CR style found.
