Remove Specific Letter
Choose a single Unicode code point and remove every matching occurrence from bounded text in your browser.
Remove a specific letter
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter up to 100,000 UTF-16 code units and one target code point.
- Choose whether matching is case-sensitive.
- Remove the selected code point, then review or copy the result.
Code point matching
The transform iterates with Array.from, so supplementary Unicode characters are matched as complete code points rather than UTF-16 code units. Enter exactly one Unicode code point as the target.
Explicit case option
Case-sensitive mode compares the selected code point exactly. Case-insensitive mode compares each code point with a Unicode-aware lowercase mapping; it does not remove unrelated characters or transliterate text.
Bounded local processing
Input is limited to 100,000 UTF-16 code units. Processing, copying, and TXT download stay in this browser; text is not uploaded.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Can I remove an emoji or a supplementary character?
Yes. Enter one complete code point, including emoji above U+FFFF; the tool does not split surrogate pairs.
Does case-insensitive mode remove every spelling variant?
It applies JavaScript Unicode-aware lowercase comparison to each code point. It does not transliterate or apply multi-character folding.
Are spaces and line breaks changed?
No. Only code points matching the selected target are removed.
