Sprite Sheet Generator

Choose static JPEG, PNG, or WebP frames, select the frames to include, and arrange them in a uniform grid. Images stay in your browser.

Static JPEG, PNG or WebP only. Up to 64 files, 5 MB each, 20 MB total, and 16 MP decoded total. Files stay in this browser. File selection order determines frame order.

New static PNG and generic JSON with source filenames. No animation extraction, trimming or tight packing. FPS is a hint, not measured timing. Browser decoding and memory limits apply.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose up to 64 static images, up to 5 MB each and 20 MB in total.
  2. Select frames and set cell dimensions, columns, spacing, and a frame-rate hint.
  3. Generate the sheet, then download the PNG and matching JSON separately.

Uniform cells

Each image is scaled to fit and centered in its cell without cropping. Transparent padding is retained. Cell sizes are 1–1024 px, columns 1–16, and spacing 0–64 px. Output is limited to 4096 px per side and 16 megapixels; decoded inputs total at most 16 megapixels.

Browser and timing limits

Canvas creates a new static PNG; source encoding and metadata are not retained. Animated files are not split into frames; only the browser-decoded image is used. JSON includes source filenames, cell and drawn-image rectangles, and an FPS hint (1–60), not measured animation timing or an engine-specific atlas format. Large images can exceed browser memory limits.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Browser image decoding, composition, PNG export, and JSON export all run locally.

Does this trim, pack, or animate sprites?

No. It uses a uniform grid with transparent padding and exports a static sheet. The FPS value is only a timing hint for your own animation code.
