Starter only. Provide index.js for start/dev. Build requires TypeScript and your tsconfig.json; lint requires your ESLint config. Select compatible dependency versions and Node.js yourself. No latest versions, runtime dependencies, installation, configuration files or compatibility checks are supplied. Ranges support numeric versions, partial versions, x/*, ^/~, comparators and ||; tags, URLs and hyphen ranges are excluded.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a kebab-case name, SemVer version, description, author, license, module type and optional Node.js range.
  2. Select scripts and development dependencies, then enter a version range for each selected dependency.
  3. Generate, review, copy or download package.json and configure your project separately.

Explicit dependency versions

Select TypeScript, ESLint, Prettier, Jest, Vitest, nodemon, tsx, @types/node or husky with your own version ranges. Blank selected ranges are rejected. Numeric and partial versions, x/*, ^/~, comparators and || are supported; tags, URLs and hyphen ranges are excluded. Compatibility is not resolved.

Scripts and configuration

start/dev target index.js; dev requires nodemon. build requires TypeScript and your tsconfig.json; lint requires ESLint and its config; format requires Prettier. Choose one test command: node --test, Jest or Vitest. Review Node.js support, module format, test files and dependency configuration yourself; selecting husky does not install Git hooks.

Local starter only

JSON is serialized locally. No source files, lockfile, runtime dependencies, installation, registry lookup, publication or project validation are provided. License choice records an identifier and does not establish compliance.
