Recovery Interval Planner
Enter work interval seconds, the rest-to-work multiplier and whole-number repetitions to calculate each cycle and the full session.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter the work interval in seconds.
- Enter the rest-to-work multiplier and a whole-number repetition count.
- Read the rest interval, cycle time and session time formatted as hours, minutes and seconds.
Formulas
Rest interval = work seconds × rest-to-work multiplier. Cycle = work interval + rest interval. Session = repetitions × work interval + (repetitions − 1) × rest interval, so no rest is added after the last repetition.
Inputs and display
Work interval and rest multiplier must be finite nonnegative numbers; repetitions must be a whole integer. Times are formatted as hours, minutes and seconds. The calculation does not recommend a ratio.
Local calculation
All arithmetic runs in your browser. Inputs are not uploaded.
Input bounds and report
Work seconds and your rest multiplier are nonnegative; repetitions are an integer of at least 1. Zero work produces zero rest, cycle and session. Hours/minutes/seconds retain fractional seconds alongside the unrounded total seconds; the final repetition has no rest. Use finite decimal inputs with at most 15 significant digits and magnitude at most 9,007,199,254,740,991. Arithmetic that loses a nonzero value or cannot distinguish required terms is rejected. Copy and TXT contain the successful raw/parsed input snapshot, units, formulas and all unrounded browser-number results; editing clears it.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Is a rest ratio recommended?
No. The multiplier is entirely your input; the tool only calculates the resulting times.
Is rest added after the final repetition?
No. The session formula includes rest only between repetitions.
Are my inputs uploaded?
No. The calculation runs locally in your browser.
