Training Load Ratio Calculator

Compare user-defined daily acute and chronic loads with calendar rolling means or explicitly initialized EWMA models.

In-browser processingNo account requiredPrivacy details ↗

1–10000 rows, 250000 characters; valid dates 1900–2100; calendar span ≤ 3660 days. External duplicate dates are rejected. Sessions on a date are added. Loads/duration/RPE ≥ 0. Select minutes or hours; session loads are converted to minute × RPE. Dates are sorted; every intervening calendar day appears.

Rolling windows are positive integers ≤ 3660; acute ≤ chronic. Coupled: acute [d−A+1,d], chronic [d−C+1,d]. Uncoupled: chronic [d−A−C+1,d−A]. Means require every calendar day; missing values are never zero-filled, including dates before the first input.

EWMA: E(d)=α×L(d)+(1−α)×E(d−1). Spans set α=2/(span+1); direct α requires 0<chronic α≤acute α≤1. First-load initialization sets both first states to that load; user-state initialization applies the recurrence on the first date. Any missing day makes that day and all later EWMA states undefined. A zero chronic value makes the ratio undefined.

All daily loads must share the same definition and unit. Ratios compare means in the same daily unit. This is a numerical load ratio, with no injury threshold, medical prediction or training advice.

Example: daily external loads 2026-01-01,10 and 2026-01-02,20; coupled A=1,C=2 gives second-day means 20 and 15, ratio 1.3333333333333333.

Precision: IEEE 754 binary64; full round-trip decimal output, no hidden rounding.
