A useful conversion, not a Word renderer
Mammoth converts common DOCX semantics such as headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, and supported raster images into HTML. The page then sanitizes that HTML and provides a print layout. It does not reproduce Word’s exact page breaks, typography, headers, footers, comments, tracked changes, charts, text boxes, equations, SmartArt, or embedded objects.
Local processing with bounded input
The selected DOCX is read and converted in a browser Worker; no file is uploaded. Inputs are limited to 10 MB, 512 package entries, 100 MB total expanded data, 24 MB per entry, and 30 seconds of conversion. External file access is disabled. The preview has no script permission, links are removed, and only embedded PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP images are allowed.
The browser creates the PDF
This tool opens a print dialog rather than returning a server-generated PDF download. Select “Save as PDF” (wording and availability vary by browser and device), inspect page breaks and fonts, then save. Printing is not automatic.

Common questions
Will the PDF look exactly like Word?
No. The tool rebuilds a flowing print layout from common semantic content. Page breaks, exact fonts, headers and footers, charts, tracked changes, and other advanced Word elements are not preserved.
How do I download the PDF?
Choose Print / Save as PDF, then select Save as PDF in the browser or operating-system print dialog.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The DOCX is read and converted locally in a browser Worker.
Which files are supported?
DOCX files only, up to 10 MB. Legacy DOC, macro-enabled DOCM, and password-protected or malformed documents are not supported.
