PDF.js reads the selected PDF in your browser. Only embedded text is extracted; this page does not upload the PDF or call a server. Scanned PDFs have no usable text layer and require OCR, which is not included.
Review is required
The extracted text is a reference, not a parsed invoice. You enter one invoice line, party names, currency, dates, tax rate, and UBL tax category. Amounts are calculated locally to two decimal places. Verify every value and the tax-category meaning yourself.
A generic draft, not a compliance service
The XML uses the OASIS UBL 2.1 Invoice document structure. It is not schema-validated, certified, submitted, or guaranteed to satisfy Peppol BIS, a tax authority, recipient system, or any jurisdiction. Multiple lines, discounts, payment data, automatic recognition, and jurisdiction-specific validation are not supported.

Common questions
Does it automatically recognize invoice fields?
No. It displays embedded PDF text for reference, and you manually enter the structured values. This avoids presenting uncertain text guesses as confirmed invoice data.
Can it read a scanned invoice?
No OCR is included. A scanned PDF may show no extracted text; you can still enter the fields manually if you can read the source.
Is the generated XML legally valid for invoicing?
No such guarantee is made. It is a generic UBL 2.1 draft without XSD, Peppol, tax, signature, recipient, or jurisdiction validation.
How many invoice lines can I export?
One line item is supported. Additions such as multiple lines, discounts, or multiple tax treatments are outside this draft tool’s scope.
