One .xlsx workbook, up to 20 MB. Processing stays in this browser.

Visible worksheets are rebuilt as browser tables. Cell formatting, date/number formats, merged cells, print areas, page setup, pagination, charts, images, drawings, macros, external links, and conditional formatting are not reproduced. Formula cells show cached values only; dates may appear as spreadsheet serial numbers.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose one .xlsx workbook up to 20 MB.
  2. Review the visible-sheet preview and any omitted-content warning.
  3. Choose Print / Save as PDF and save the browser print preview.

What is included

Visible worksheets are rebuilt in workbook order. The preview reads shared or inline text, numeric values, booleans, and cached formula results, and omits hidden sheets, hidden rows, and hidden columns.

What is not reproduced

This is not an Excel rendering engine. It does not preserve cell styles or number/date formats, merged-cell layout, blank row spacing, print areas, page setup, exact pagination, charts, images, drawings, macros, external links, or conditional formatting. Dates may appear as spreadsheet serial numbers. Formulas are not recalculated; cells without a saved result appear blank.

Local processing and limits

The XLSX ZIP package and XML are processed in a browser Worker and are not uploaded. Limits: 20 MB input, 512 ZIP entries, 100 MB expanded data, 24 MB per entry, 100 sheets, 10,000 rows per sheet, 256 columns, 250,000 non-empty cells, 24 MB generated preview, and 30 seconds. XLS, XLSM, encrypted workbooks, and external relationship targets are not supported.

Save through the browser

Inspect the rebuilt worksheet preview, then select Print / Save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the browser dialog. Paper size and pagination are controlled by the browser, not copied from Excel.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are formulas recalculated?

No. The preview uses a cached value stored in the workbook when one is available. It never executes spreadsheet formulas.

Is the workbook uploaded?

No. The selected XLSX package is parsed locally in a browser Worker.

Will the PDF match Excel page-for-page?

No. Supported values are rebuilt as browser tables. Excel styles, print areas, page setup, charts, images, and pagination are not reproduced.

Can I convert an old XLS or macro-enabled XLSM file?

No. This tool accepts .xlsx workbooks only. It does not execute or retain macros.
